The latest IPCC report published in 2013 confirms that ice caps and glaciers are losing mass almost everywhere in the world:

In the far north, in Greenland, the ice cap has lost considerable mass over the last 2 decades (at a rate of around 215 billion tonnes per year over the last decade), as has the surface of the Arctic pack ice (sea ice) (average decrease of 3.5 to 4.1% per decade since 1979, and even 9.4 to 13.6% per decade in summer, see animation alongside).

The ice cap on the Antarctic Peninsula is also in sharp retreat, in contrast to the Antarctic pack ice (sea ice): over the same period, there has been a slight increase (1.2 to 1.8% per decade, on average since 1979), with marked regional disparities.
