This decline is due not only to climatic conditions, but also to the massive pumping of the groundwater that feeds the lake, and to changes in the course of the rivers that flow into it. Groundwater management in Iran is a disaster and is leading to dramatic environmental situations in Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their obsession with developing nuclear power plants and other nuclear by-products is leading to natural disasters throughout the region, from Tabriz to Qazvin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ci5.googleusercontent.com\/proxy\/WWz8X3Ui1Ob5Fd-RALJJqSIuT9wFqdfOMJyYE7R5KJUddjWC00kPIbNxx8TQjHbtwdnYiQrvWHmLUNfR5zGbCPoagX2hD53-oyrYLuCt4ZKUEyjuzD0xinKlq55ekBUeabhmcgj36vjT85E3UpmD1DlQRM0N40wxA3Mqew_Dg-fn=s0-d-e1-ft#https:\/\/iranparadise.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Thousands-of-Flamingos-Delay-Migration-from-Lake-Urmia.jpg\" alt=\"Lake Urmia\" width=\"923\" height=\"577\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This disappearance could have major consequences not only for human populations but also for the lake\u2019s immediate environment.
